Don’t know where to take your kids on the weekend? Worried about how to raise your children on Islamic Akhlaq and manners?
ISNA Canada is the correct place to go! The ISNA Islamic Centre of Canada in Mississauga offers a dynamic and engaging program for boys and girls ages 5-12 years old. The program is under the name of “Children’s Character-building” which takes place every Friday and Saturday evening. This strong family program provides children with the opportunity to benefit and learn from various activities, while their parents are attending Islamic classes (halaqa).
The main objective of the program is to teach the kids Islamic manners and etiquettes to build certain character traits, foster their relation with God, and stress on the importance of preparing the next generation to be more considerate and compassionate.
This program is special in that it generates Islamic principles through different activities such as storytelling, rephrasing verses of the Qur’an , interpreting Ahadeeth and giving examples of the Sahaba and the Prophets’ biography.
More than 20 kids in the Character-building program are showing their enthusiasm to learn Islamic knowledge, participating in the discussions, and asking questions. The kids are guided by two enthusiastic guides, both of whom bring a wealth of Islamic knowledge and background.
At the end of each session, kids enjoy their time by getting creative by implementing what they have learnt through art whilst enjoying a light snack. Kids engage in many fun and interactive experiences that allow them to gain a better understanding of their religion and make a difference.
Muslim families always show their strong interest in educational programs and never hesitate to register their kids.
