Looking for the perfect place to please your halal palate for fast food? This new restaurant located conveniently in Courtney Park is the hottest new eatery on our menu!
Recently opened in March, this place is set to satisfy any type of craving. Select from either their desi or Western options and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. The food is all made fresh in house, offering a selection of burgers, sandwiches, shakes and cakes, as well as paratha rolls, samosas, bun kabab and kulfi. What could be better? The location is clean, comfortable and family friendly. There is ample room to accommodate big groups too!
At our recent stop to Snacks n Chai, we were impressed with a lot more than the food. The owners, Muhammad and Almas Khalid are running this as their family business. You’ll always find one of them there, ready for a chat or a recommendation from their extensive menu. Lanterns had the opportunity to treat themselves to both types of cuisines!
We kicked off the feasting with their delicious hunter beef sandwich, followed by some crispy chicken strips and an in house specialty – the club sandwich. Topped with a generous helping of fries, these one person meals were a portion enough for two! The night wouldn’t be complete without delving into the ever famous chicken paratha roll. Unlike most rolls you’ll find around the GTA, this paratha is something exquisite! Non-greasy, super fresh, and packed with loads of chicken, sauces and extras to make this one of our favorites! When you stop by at Snacks n Chai, the owners will tell you not to miss their special flavoured kulfis. The list of unique and homemade flavours include pistachio, almond, mango, fig, rose and the famous… kulfi falooda.
Of course the visit is incomplete without topping off your meal with an actual “chai”. Treat yourself to a variety of teas, but don’t miss out on the signature “karak chai” which anchors the restaurant’s name and design.
